Chory: “My head is focused on salvation”

The Malaguista winger held a press conference following this morning’s training session: “There have been several seasons in which I’ve fought relegation, but I was able to stay in the First Division”.

Work

“It’s difficult being at the bottom of the table. In recent matches, the team has been performing in a way that has inspired the fans at La Rosaleda. We fight for every game, but we’re not getting the results. We need to keep our heads held high and fight until the end in every game in search of that victory we need as soon as possible to continue growing. The teams in the relegation zone are giving us the opportunity to fight for it”.

Precedents

“As long as the mathematics allow, we’ll keep fighting. In Mallorca we had 14 points and ended in 8th place. Until the last date we are all still alive. Not just us, every team fighting in the relegation zone. The positive thing we can focus on is that teams above us are also not winning. The advantage we can have is, if we achieve victory this weekend, nerves may set in for the other rivals, which we must make the most of. We are aware it’s a difficult ground, but it’s not impossible. It’s important that we minimise their virtues. They are a team with a lot of attacking power, with big strikers and a lot of goals. Hopefully it’ll be a good weekend for us”.

Salvation

“My head is focused on salvation. There have been several seasons in which I’ve fought relegation, but I was able to stay in the First Division with previous teams I’ve been with. We hope this season will be no exception”.

Incidents #AthleticSpartak

“We sympathise with the family. We are completely against these incidents outside the stadium. They are regrettable and damage the football environment. They keep happening and we know they are very difficult to control. Efforts are made so that it doesn’t happen. It’s unfortunate”.
