Málaga CF Femenino are proclaimed champions of Segunda División Femenina Group IV after defeating Pozoalbense by 4-0.
Málaga CF Femenino are League champions, a title won on matchday 25 of Segunda División Femenina Group IV, after beating CD Pozoalbense Femenino by 4-0.
The locals kicked off to a pacey start. Based on physical strength and speed they besieged the Pozoalbense area, generating constant opportunities during the first 17 minutes of play.
The Córdoba-based rival attempted to approach Chelsea’s goal, although they couldn’t get the finish. Finally, in minute 22 it was Málaga Femenino who opened the scoring. A cross from Shiv was perfectly placed inside the area for Sheila and Meri to dispute, but it was the player from Catalonia who sank the ball into the back of the net to put the locals in the lead (1-0).
The Malaguistas didn’t stop in their attempts to approach the Pozoalbense area, but the occasions didn’t convert into goals, and at half-time, the scoreboard remained at 1-0 thanks to Meri’s goal.
In the second half, the Malaguistas came out stronger and with more bite. Ten minutes was sufficient for Adriana, showing perfect control of the ball, to launch a tight shot into Mari Carmen Portero’s goal, to increase her team’s lead (2-0, 54’). Antonio Contreras made some changes, giving minutes to Farfán in substitution of Shiv, and following the change, the team went 3-0 up thanks to a María Ruiz header in 72'.
When everything looked like it was over, Adriana put the icing on the cake with a goal from a clearance by the Córdoba rival’s goalkeeper (4-0). The captain scored he 42nd goal and sealed the match by achieving the first objective of the season: to be proclaimed champions of Segunda División Femenina Group IV.
