Cecchini: “We have a group that remains very united”
Blue and Whites’ midfielder, Emanuel Cecchini held a press conference today in the Ciudad de Málaga press room. “They are all high-level players in Barcelona, but we’re working hard to bring home the points”, he affirms.
Debut against Leganés
“It was a bit strange due to the circumstances. I tried to enjoy it, despite how the game was going, and I hope to continue accumulating minutes. I had some injuries that prevented me from starting the pre-season from scratch. Now I need to gain pace from a physical aspect, and play more minutes. A footballer must be ready for the good and the bad, and handle things that happen to convince the coach”.
Rhythm and hard work
“I come from a different league but am trying to pick up the pace quickly. That’s what you work for, to earn the chance to play as much as possible from the start. I’m trying to gain more minutes, which hopefully I’ll be able to do. I know the Club made a good investment and I’m aiming to be at 100 per cent”.
Duel against Barça
“We’re in a position where we need to earn points whatever happens, regardless of the stadium or rival. We’ll try to do our job and claim points from here on in. Barcelona? They are all high-level players, so we must aim to keep ourselves enclosed and have a compact team so as not to struggle. We’re working hard to bring home the points”.
Group strength
“We have a group that remains very united, also with the coaching team, and we must stick together to move this situation forward. The coach is strong and determined, we believe in him and he believes in us. We are the ones who can get ourselves out of this situation”.
