It’s all good news for Carol González and, of course, Málaga CF Femenino. In addition to enjoying the team’s second consecutive victory, the Galician forward received the news on Sunday that she has been nominated for ‘Best Women’s Player of the Year’ in beach soccer.
The Malaguista won the gold medal with Spain in the World Beach Games in Qatar. An undisputed member of the starting line-up with the national team and her five goals in the tournament resulted in her being nominated for this award for the first time.
The Blue and White player was named MVP of the Euro Winners Cup and is now a candidate to win the world title, along with Brazil’s Adriele Rocha and England’s Sarah Kempson.
