The Málaga Club de Fútbol midfielder appeared in the mixed zone following tonight’s match at the Juegos del Mediterráneo stadium, and highlighted the importance of not conceding a goal.
Camacho states: “We’re leaving with a point, which is always positive. The team played well defensively and it’s important that we didn’t concede a goal, however if we don’t score, then it’s always going to be difficult to win.” He’s confident the team will score soon: “We’ve shown we’re capable of getting goals, although it’s proving much harder at the moment.”
The midfielder is now focused on Real Valladolid: “This will be a game of six points.” Camacho says the team will need the fans behind them: “We ask that our supporters stick with us, as we’re much stronger together.”
Jesús Gámez adds: “We’re coming home with a point, which I think is fair. Both sides tried hard to score throughout what was a hard-fought game. We did have a few opportunities, but lacked the finer details.”
The ‘Malagueño’ is also now concentrating on Real Valladolid: “They are a direct rival, so I hope we use this opportunity to gain three points and move up the table.”
