Brandon: “I try to do my best for the team”

The Blue and White forward had a few words for the Club media following the victory against CD Tenerife: “I’m delighted to have scored the winning goal.”

Brandon Thomas scored the goal giving Málaga CF three points this Monday evening. At the full-time whistle, the striker spoke to the MCF microphones on the pitch: “I’m very happy to have notched up another victory here at home with our fans. I’m delighted to have scored the winning goal. We knew Tenerife are a very good side, very complete, it doesn’t matter if it was during the pre-season or here. In the end, with our fans’ support, the team played a very complete match, and we deserve this victory,” he stated.

In regard to his performance, Brandon said “I’m so pleased, not counting the goal, which obviously is a reason to be happy, I try to bring my hard work, my fight and do the best I can for the team so the coach trusts in me and the other players. I was lucky to convert from the penalty spot, I’m over the moon,” he said.

Three very important points at home. This is how Brandon sees it: “In the closing stages we were suffering a little more than we would have liked, but we showed fight. With the crowd behind us it was hard for the rival to do us any damage. This is the path to follow. Hopefully we’ll get another win on Saturday, which would be great for the team. Scoring points at home is always good.”

Finally, he’s grateful for the Malaguistas’ welcome: “The fans have treated me so well since I arrived. I try to give my all on the pitch and I’m so thankful and very proud to belong to Málaga CF.”
