“It was a great game of dedication and commitment”
Malaguista coach, José Alberto held a press conference following #MálagaTenerife. “At home we’re one of the best teams, we have 23 points with five matches left in the first round, we’re on the right track,” he said.
Blue and White coach, José Alberto López spoke to the press after this matchday 16 win against CD Tenerife.
He kicked off by saying “it was a great game of dedication and commitment on the part of the players; Brandon really showcased these values.” He added that “we played a superb first half, limiting a very good team.” He recognised that “in the second half it was a struggle from minute 60-70, but the unity between the fans and team was again amazing. We knew how to hold on and keep the three points.”
José Alberto praised this victory against “the second-best team away from home, we minimised their efforts, gained possession and enjoyed elaborate plays. During our great first half, we should have had a bigger lead, we deserved it for dominating play.”
He also had a few words of praise for Iván Calero, who returned to the starting line-up: “He played a good game after being out of action for so long, he waited for his moment. His game tonight is thanks to his hard work and the great professional he is. I’m thrilled for him.”
The Blue and White coach added that “at home we’re one of the best teams, we have 23 points with five matches left in the first round, we’re on the right track.”
Lastly, he focused on the next game against UD Las Palmas, again at La Rosaleda: “It’s incredible playing at home. I ask for everyone’s support on Saturday, the team deserves it. We’re going to push to see if we can get two victories on the bounce for the first time this season.”
