The event, an intimate gathering filled with camaraderie and Blue and White pride, took place at the team’s hotel in Madrid. It highlighted the achievements of Málaga’s number 10, David Larrubia, during the 2024/25 season.
During the ceremony, members of the peña presented Larrubia with a commemorative plaque, while the Club, represented by Protocol and Institutional Relations adviser, Francisco Martín Aguilar, gifted the supporters’ group a personalised shirt.
The Madrid-based supporters honoured David’s effort and commitment, a homegrown player who was deeply moved by the recognition from Malaguistas who, despite the distance, carry the club in their hearts.
‘Boquerones en Madrid’ brings together Málaga CF supporters living in the capital and surrounding areas. Over the years, it has become one of the leading Málaga fan groups outside Andalucía, organising events to support the team whenever they play in Madrid.
The tribute to David Larrubia strengthens the bond between the fans and the players ahead of today’s match against CD Leganés (14:00, Butarque), which will see a strong presence of Malaguistas in the stands, many of them traveling from the Costa del Sol.
