Back to training with more homegrown players

Following a day of rest yesterday, the team returned to training this Wednesday morning. Ramón stepped on to the pitch and there were five new homegrown players under Pellicer’s orders.

The session kicked off with a video viewing followed by training on the pitch at the Annexe between 11:30 until around 13:00, alternating between initial physical work and exercises with the ball in reduced spaces.

Five players from the MCF Academy joined the first team in training today, in place of the usual reserve team and ‘juvenil’ players who are in competition today in the Third Division and División de Honor respectively. ‘Cadetes’ Salvi (goalkeeper) and Dean (central defender); a ‘juvenil’ - Liga Nacional - Álex Calvo (left winger); and two players from Málaga CF ‘C’, the central defender Álex Jiménez and attacking midfielder Carlos Torres, who form part of Atlético Malagueño.

Another homegrown player, Ramón Enríquez, returned to the pitch at the Annexe today, undergoing continuous running and some group exercises at a lesser intensity than the rest of the team.

Injured Benkhemassa, Hicham and Alberto Quintana remained in the gym today, whilst Lombán and Escassi carried out preventive training.

Tomorrow, Thursday at 11:00, Málaga CF will resume training at La Rosaleda’s facilities.
