Atlético Malagueño suffers another away defeat (2-0 against Marbella)
Atlético Malagueño took on Marbella in the fourth match of the Third Division’s Group IX. It was a game which saw Atlético Malagueño, trained by Jaime Molino, get defeated by two goals which were scored in the first and last few minutes of the match.
The Málaga squad was looking to equalise throughout the game, after Rudy had various opportunities to knock the ball to the back of the net. However, it was in the last moments of the match when Villena, who was brought on off the bench, beat a path with a cross shot to Toni’s goal, securing the result for Marbella.
So, in the end it was another defeat for Atlético Malagueño, who’s Adrián and Juan were sent off during the game. Marbella’s Durán was also shown the red card.
With this result, Atlético Málagueño is not able to follow the two consecutive victories from the beginning of the season, and has now been beaten in its two away games.
Atlético Malagueño clings on to its six points, and its halfway position on the Group IX table. Its next match on 25th September will be against Unión Deportiva San Pedro.
