Málaga Manager, Manuel Pellegrini, spoke to the media in La Rosaleda’s press room after the match against Granada.
Pellegrini’s statements
“Today we were dynamic and aggressive with and without the ball. Before the match I said that I hoped to win, it was important to move up; and secondly the ideal thing is to play well and give everyone a triumph and a good vibe. To get four goals and to keep the other side on zero is important.”
“It’s an alternative position for Joaquín. He’s always ‘mixing it up’ from the inside out, we’ve increased his goal quota from that position and so we’re already seeing it working. He’s going to be in that position more often, one against one on the wing. He’s one of those players who has the ability to carry it off.”
“The ideal thing is to have eleven assigned players and also to have alternatives. A player’s versatility gives you more coaching possibilities. They’re alternatives and hopefully we can maintain a similar ‘eleven’ every week, that’s to say that we want to win every week.”
