Buonanotte: “I really enjoyed my debut”

The Argentinean forward, Diego Buonanotte, spoke to the media on Wednesday in La Rosaleda’s press room.

Buonanotte’s statements

(Debut and victory) “I’m happy with the debut and even more so because it was a spectacular victory at home with a packed La Rosaleda.  Personally, when it comes to scoring I’ve got some things to learn, and in attack I have to look for gaps and move into where the defense moves out of, that’s what we’re learning in training. I really enjoyed my debut match, seeing so many people encouraging us was fantastic and we were able to give them a win.  We needed this victory because in the first game we couldn’t show what we have.”

(Argentinean and Spanish football) “There is a difference. Here they play a lot better, it’s pressurised and it’s quicker.  I can’t go too mad, I was happy with my debut even though the nerves got to me a little, but the league is new, the teammates are new, it’s all new.  River’s fans were always very good but what I experienced here at La Rosaleda was spectacular.”

(Ability) “I’m wherever the boss puts me and I’ll do my best.  I feel comfortable, it’s the first time I’ve played alongside Joaquín and Santi Cazorla in an official game and I’ve got to get used to working with them.  We’re all prepared to be available for whenever the coach calls and we have to push ourselves every day.”

(Mallorca) “I don’t know the teams here very well, but as the days go by I’m getting to know more and more.  Our idea is to go to Mallorca to win and bring back three points so we’re an even stronger side.”
