Atlético Malagueño ends 2013 with a provincial derby against UD San Pedro
The Blue and Whites’ reserve team plays host to Unión Deportiva San Pedro on Saturday 21st December, at the Ciudad de Málaga athletics stadium at 12 p.m., their last match of 2013.
Atlético Malagueño are provisional group leaders following seven consecutive wins, the last being on Saturday away to Los Molinos by 0-1, thanks to a goal from Juanpi Añor. For tomorrow’s game, coach Salva Ballesta sees the return of Mauri to the line-up following four weeks off through a femoral biceps injury, with Jurado and Rufo still in recovery. Álex Portillo is not included in the line-up due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
Unión Deportiva San Pedro are currently in 17th place in the group, although they deserve to be higher up the table as they’ve worked extremely hard all season, but luck hasn’t been on their side. In their last match, Español del Alquían, with just 10 men, equalised in stoppage time.
Málaga Club de Fútbol invites Club members to see Atlético Malagueño’s last game of 2013 for free, when they show their membership ID on entrance to the stadium. Tickets for the general public are five euros.
At. Malagueño line-up: Toni and Sergio (goalkeepers), Iván Rodríguez, Alberto, Mosquera, Iván Márquez, Víctor Ruiz (defence), Deco, Ernesto, Rafa, Marrufo, Pablo (midfield), Pirulo, Juanpi, Samu Castillejo and Mauri (strikers).
