Atlético Malagueño away to Villacarrillo CF

The Blue and Whites’ reserve team faces another difficult game this afternoon (6:30) in the fight for Third Division Group 9 top spots.

Salva Ballesta can’t count on Deco in midfield, as he’s suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards, nor Joel Valencia who’s suffering with a grade 1 popliteal injury.  He joins Ernesto, Mauri and Mosquera who are also injured.  On a positive note, Rufo is back in action having overcome injury sustained in December, along with Alberto López and Tissone, who were suspended from last week’s game against Loja CD.

Villacarrillo are the only side in the group that hasn’t lost a home game at their ground, Veracruz.  During the first round match, the ‘Malaguistas’ won by 2-1 with goals from Juanpi and Rufo in the first half, whilst the visitors were awarded a penalty in minute 63.

The goalless draw between Linares Deportivo and UD Melilla B in the match that was brought forward, means today is the ideal day to get closer to the group leaders in the table.

At. Malagueño line-up: Sergio, Toni (goalkeepers), Alberto, Víctor Ruiz, Álex Portillo, Cris Tissone, Calero, Jurado (defence), Marrufo, Rafa de Vicente, Pablo (midfield), Samu Castillejo, Juanpi, Pedro Mérida, Zalea and Rufo (strikers).
