Atlético Malagueño away to Vélez CF

The Blue and Whites’ reserve team’s penultimate derby of the season takes place tomorrow, Sunday (7 p.m.) away to Vélez CF, in the 34th Third Division Group 9 match.

Atlético Malagueño will try to defend their second place in the table thanks to last weekend’s 3-1 win against Los Villares, and taking advantage of a goalless draw between Loja CD – in Mancha Real – and UD San Pedro - in Guadix-.  For tomorrow’s game Salva Ballesta cannot count on Mauri, who is suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards, or Paul Quaye, who is suffering with an iliopsoas rupture to the left quadriceps.  However Diego can be included in the line-up following his one-match ban, as well as Ernesto Cornejo who has recovered from his hamstring problems which caused him to retire early from last Sunday’s match.

Vélez CF has 45 points and sitting in the middle of the table, preparing to welcome the Blue and Whites’ reserve team after the away defeat in their visit to La Espiguera last weekend, in which Atlético Melilla overcame the initial goal by Álex ‘Pulga’ (2-1).  Vélez cannot call on goalkeeper, Vicente Calonge who is suspended due to an accumulation of cards.

Atlético Malagueño line-up: Roy, Diego, Álex Portillo, Rufo, Ernesto Gómez, Iván Rodríguez, Pablo, Alberto López, Cristian, Zalea, Kuki, Deco, Ernesto Cornejo, Calero, Godino and Aarón.
