Following last weekend’s 2-0 win over Villacarrillo CF, both goals from Rufo, the ‘Malaguista’ reserve team is situated in Second B Division play-off positions for the first time this season with 21 points, and is hoping to stay in the top part of the table.  Salva Ballesta can count on Álex Portillo for this match following his one-match suspension, along with Falu Aranda who has recovered from injury.  However Ballesta cannot include Paul Quaye in this line-up as with the Club’s permission he is currently with his family following the death of one of his siblings.
 
Loja CD, headed up by Alberto Fernández, former La Academia coach, arrives at this match on good form following last week’s 2-0 victory over Atlético Melilla.  The second-placed side has never lost a home match, achieving four out of five victories at the Medina Lauxa, and just one draw (1-1 against Vélez CF).
