Atlético Malagueño away to Español del Alquián

The Blue and Whites’ reserve team is in Almería for tomorrow’s 22nd Third Division Group 9 game of the season against 14th-placed Español del Alquián, kicking off at 11:30 a.m.

Salva Ballesta’s boys were in training this morning at the annexe ground to La Rosaleda stadium before heading off.  Goalkeeper, Aarón is not travelling with his teammates, as he’s suffering with tendonitis in his right shoulder following his penalty save against Atlético Mancha Real.  The coach cannot count on defender, Cristian Moreno either for tomorrow’s match as he sustained a sprain to the exterior ligament in his left ankle, or striker, Zalea who has ilotibial band syndrome in his right knee.

Español del Alquián arrives at this game strengthened following last weekend’s 0-0 draw at home to Atlético Melilla, a direct rival in the fight against relegation.

The first round encounter between these two rivals ended in a massive 7-0 win for the ‘Malaguistas’, following a hat-trick from Mula, and other goals from Deco, Álex Portillo, Zalea and Ernesto Cornejo.

Called-up players: Cousillas, Godino (goalkeepers), Iván Rodríguez, Diego, Calero, Álex Portillo, Alberto López (defenders), Deco, Pablo, Paul, Ernesto Cornejo, Roy (midfielders), Rufo, Mauri, Ernesto Gómez and Falu Aranda (forwards).
