The Argentine player’s tests came back negative following the blow to his head received in Mestalla, however as a result of this collision he suffered a fracture to the radius of his right arm.
Marcos Angeleri underwent various CT and cervical spine scans last night at Valencia’s Clínica Quirón. The test results were negative, therefore he returned with the group to Málaga after the game.
The player suffered a blow to the head during a collision with goalkeeper, Kameni, as he tried to stop a shot at goal against Valencia CF in Mestalla. Angeleri was therefore subsequently substituted in minute 32 by Raúl Albentosa. Fortunately the tests on his head all came back negative.
Angeleri did suffer a fracture to his right wrist however, following this move.
It will be decided on Monday whether the player will undergo surgery for this fracture following yesterday’s unfortunate mishap.
