Venezuelan-born Roberto Rosales, Juanpi Añor and Mikel Villanueva spoke to MCFTV recently at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium about the historic international triple line-up.
Rosales, Juanpi and reserve team player, Villanueva have been called-up to Venezuela’s first team for the forthcoming 2018 Russia World Cup South American qualifiers, against Peru (24th March) and Chile (29th March).
Rosales:“It’s an honour and I’m thrilled to have been called-up along with Juanpi and Mikel. It’s very important for the Club and also for us, to go there and perform well for our country.”
Juanpi:“’Robertico’ has been a regular fixture with the national team, whereas Mikel and I are the new boys, but we’re extremely excited to bring our game play. I hope I can score goals for my country, the important factor is winning, but goals will be welcome!”
Mikel Villanueva:“I’m delighted for the Club that three Venezuelans have been selected, I hope everything goes well. I made my debut in a friendly, now we’re facing a qualifier. I’m incredibly motivated and focused on performing at my best.”
