Alejandro Acejo, assistant coach of Málaga CF

The Málaga-born coach joins Sergio Pellicer’s staff as the assistant coach of the Club’s men’s first team.

Juan Alejandro Acejo Rodríguez (Málaga, 24/01/1978) is a coach with extensive experience working with young players, particularly in Andalucían youth football.

He began his career at Puerta Blanca and Puerto Malagueño before joining the MCF Academy in 2016, taking charge of the Cadete A team. Over the following seasons, he coached Málaga CF’s Juvenil B and San Félix’s Juvenil A, where he worked with future Málaga talents like Ramón and delivered outstanding results. He later continued his career in the youth system of Sevilla FC.

In 2018, he began his work in Nervión, where he coached Sevilla’s Juvenil A team for three seasons. In 2021, his excellent performance earned him a promotion to the reserves, taking charge of Sevilla Atlético, which competed in the 1ª RFEF that season.

His most recent professional experience was in Cyprus in 2023, where he served as assistant coach to Pablo Machín at Apollon Limassol.

Alejandro joins Málaga CF to bring all his knowledge and dedication to support the coaching staff and the team.
