A team that only knows how to win (4-0)

Málaga CF Femenino defeated CD Santa Teresa B at Roma Luz this Sunday on matchday 5 of Primera Nacional Group 4. The fifth win in as many games for Ayala’s girls.

Following a busy week with three matches (two in the league and one Cup clash), the Malaguista coach selected the following line-up: Andrea Ríos debuted in goal; in defence were Marina, Ruth, Silvia Mérida and Elena; Farfán, María Cortés, Teté and Bertuchi were in the wide area; whilst Carmen Gómez and Sonia Torralvo were on the attack.

The Blue and Whites showed their superiority on the pitch from the outset. After the initial 15 minutes, Torralvo appeared to score her seventh league goal (eight counting the Cup goal) to put the girls 1-0 up. At half-time the Blue and Whites maintained their lead.

Soon into the second half, the second Malaguista goal arrived. Bertuchi, making the most of a rival clearance, scored the 2-0 (53’). The fourth goal this season for the Malaguista number ‘17’. An hour into play, Ayala made a triple substitution, bringing on Claudia, Encarni and Clo. The latter scored MCFF’s third goal in minute 70.

In the final quarter of an hour, Olmedo and Yoli came on in defence to replace Ruth and Marina respectively. Another defender, Silvia Mérida took the girls to a 4-0 lead in 86’.

The fifth League win of the season (six in total counting the Copa de la Reina victory against CE Seagull this week), with 15 out of a possible 15 points for Málaga CF, leading the group. Next weekend the girls are away from home against Extremadura UD on matchday 6 of the competition.
