Jaime Molina’s team were unable to secure a win against Casino del Real, who proved to be a tough side during the match, as they played down the back and with counterattacks as their main weapon against the Malaguistas.
 
On this form Atlético Malagueño dominated the game, creating five clear chances for a goal, but luck was against them, as they battled against the defence of the home side who demonstrated their serious side in play and proved why they deserve their ranking on the table.
 
The match was characterised by two totally opposing elements: the first and the positive, the debut of the Malaga signing, Oscar Sielva, who wheeled out a great performance; and on the other side, the negative, with Diego suffering a knock to the head in minute 80 of the match which led him to be substituted, and which led him to being taken to hospital to check out the seriousness of the blow, putting his return trip with the rest of the Málaga squad from Melilla in doubt.

In the end, a goalless draw between Atlético Malagueño and Casino del Real, meaning the Malaguistas remain with 31 points and in the higher end of Group 9 in the Third Division.
