Seba: “The team’s doing well in both competitions”
The Uruguayan forward, Sebastián Fernández, was the Málaga player who spoke to the media this morning in the Ciudad de Málaga stadium press room.
Seba’s statements:
(Copa, League and Juanmi). “They’re two different competitions but it always suits the team to win, the knockout’s looking good but there’s still the return match to go. Juanmi? He’s an amazing player, he’s great, he plays very well, he’s great guy and we’re all so pleased. We’ve all got to be on the same page and throughout the year everyone will save matches, win points, and get goals.”
(Valencia-Málaga). “It’ll be a nice match, very important if we aspire to be in European positions. We’ve got to demonstrate the power Málaga has. We’ve got to do things properly if we want to be a direct rival. Mestalla? A difficult ground where they feel very comfortable, we’ll need to be intelligent and play a great game of we want to win there. If we go convince of winning, we’re going to complicate the game for them. A rematch of last year? That’s now over, it’s a different match, they’re different championships, there’s no comparison.”
(Level of the team). “Pellegrini can always count on me, we all do things as best we can and I’m alright with how I’m doing things. For me, the team’s doing well in both competitions, and we’re where we want to be. I like to win and be high-up, but then everyone has their own different versions about what they like to see out on the pitch. I like it when we progress and shine, and we’re seeing that in all the matches.”
(Valencia’s no shows). “Soldado is suspended for yellow cards; he’s a great player and it’s better that he’s not there as he’s having an impressive run at the moment.”
