The gala took place in a very complex setting. In principle, the current health situation resulted in the stringent organisation of the MCF Foundation Awards. However, the safety and well-being of all those attending the event held at the Museo Picasso Málaga was safeguarded.

All attendees carried out an antigen test before the gala and the use of FFP2 masks was mandatory, one was provided on entry. The only people exempt from wearing a mask were Cristina Zumaquero and Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’, whilst on stage presenting the gala.

The winners also had to adapt to the current circumstances. Although they symbolically collected their award at the gala, they were unable to take it away with them and the award will be sent to their homes. This will ensure the total disinfection of all elements that the attendees came into contact with.

The Málaga Club de Fútbol male and female first teams were represented, remotely, by their respective captains David Lombán and Ruth. In addition, Málaga Genuine got involved via a video call. They showed their support for the awards, respecting all protocol established by LaLiag in respect of COVID-19.
