Kameni undergoes successful surgery for torn meniscus

Blue and Whites’ goalkeeper, Carlos Kameni underwent a successful operation today at Hospital El Ángel, to repair the torn meniscus in his right knee.

The Cameroonian-born keeper underwent surgery today, Monday at Hospital El Ángel, to repair a bucket-handle tear to the meniscus in his right knee, which he sustained during #RCDvMCF last Saturday at Riazor.  The operation lasted 45 minutes and was carried out by doctor José Manuel Fernández Medina, Trauma Services Coordinator at El Ángel and FREMAP’s Chief of Medical Services.

Kameni was accompanied by Málaga CF’s Head of Medical Services, Juan Carlos Pérez Frías during surgery.  The African keeper will remain in the clinic tonight, and tomorrow, Tuesday will be discharged.  His recovery rate from the injury will determine when the keeper will be available to return to the pitch.
