1.100 kilometres of Malaguismo in Blanes

This Friday, the Peña Malacitana de Blanes (Girona) welcomed a Malaguista delegation headed up by Club advisers, Francisco Martín Aguilar and Abdullah Ben Barek.

Distance is no barrier. Under this premise, the Peña Malacitana de Blanes was founded more than 17 years ago. They’ve never seen Málaga CF, the team in their heart, play in Girona, and the excitement of witnessing the Blue and Whites at Montilivi stadium for the first time is palpable in the atmosphere. A family peña, with roots in Ardales, the Málaga town from where many residents emigrated to settle in Blanes, some 1.100 kilometres away.

The Malaguista committee, with Club advisers, Francisco Martín Aguilar and Abdullah Ben Barek at the helm, was greeted by residents of the town in Girona on their arrival to the supporters’ club. Mayor of Blanes, Miguel Lupiáñez, and the president of the peña, Jaime Varela were hosts during the event and subsequent dinner.

Following an exchange of gifts amongst the members of the peña, the Club advisers and the president of the Málaga CF Federación de Peñas, Miguel Molina, guests enjoyed an exquisite meal and watched a spectacular flamenco show.
