“We’re going to fix the mistakes and boost the positives”

Javi Jiménez had a chat to the media following the team’s defeat at the Carlos Tartiere. “The second half had nothing to do with the first, but we couldn't turn it around,” said the left-back.

In terms of the first half, “the team was close to materialising a scoring opportunity which would have given us the chance to get ahead on the scoreboard. Away from home, in the situation we’re in, this would have been enough, However, unfortunately it wasn’t to be,” said the number ‘3’.

“The second half probably had nothing to do with the first, it was more one on one, the ball was more back and forth than in the first half. There wasn’t as much control and we weren’t able to turn it around,” he said.

Focusing on the upcoming game against Eibar, “I invite the fans not to lose that illusion and bring us the strength they give us week after week. Their support is unconditional,” said Javi Jiménez who added: “We’re going to work as hard as we can throughout the week to fix the mistakes and boost the positives to try and give them the victory they so deserve.”
