Not every ‘we’re back home’ story is about family, football is also enjoyed amongst friends. Miguel Ángel and José Antonio have been enjoying their team as season ticket holders for more than 10 years.
José Antonio and Miguel Ángel have been alternating their companions to the matches so have passed through various areas of the stands. Family and friends is a marvellous combination at La Rosaleda, and they understand that coming to the stadium goes beyond football itself. “It’s not just about the match”, said Miguel Ángel. Arriving in advance to be able to see the bus arrive, go through the ‘puerta de autoridades’, visit the MCF Store and enter the stadium with enough time to see the team’s warm-up is their ritual.
José Antonio told us about his fondest memory. It was a match against Garrucha Peña Deportiva on 7th May 1995 in the Third Division. The result was a 14-0 win for the Blue and Whites. He was a child at the time, but he remembers the score on the scoreboard that wasn’t electronic at the time. Who would have imagined it?!
