Match analysis
“If we play as we know we can, we’ll have a lot in our favour. We need to own the ball and not be scared of gaining possession. So far we’ve been able to do it, which is why we’ve taken some risks. I would imagine the opponent will attempt to make the most of pacey players upfront. They’ll try to take advantage of mistakes, whereas we’ll attempt to make as few errors as possible and, above all, analyse during the week certain things we need to improve on to focus on the goal and not our area. It’s about being brave. They will be starting their first match and want to move up, so a certain pressure will be on them”.
Unconditional support from fans
“We’ll have people accompanying us from Málaga to Valencia, which says a lot about the involvement of the Club and the city of Málaga with the women’s team”.
Good attitude of the team
“The good thing about this team is that even in the first match against Polillas they came out nervous. So, we can’t take that away from them. I’d like the girls to keep this attitude and continue playing well, because that’s what got us here”.
Statements by Ruth
Intense week
“It’s been a great week, like last week, with a great deal of excitement. Working hard and analysing the rival, SPA, to try and do as well as we can”.
Committed team
“We need to give everything we’ve got until the 95th minute. We are hopeful and determined that if we do things how we know how, the rival will find it very difficult”.
Statements by Raquel
For the three points
“I hope we can continue to score goals, whether it’s me or a teammate, to benefit the team and achieve the three points. It would be very beneficial to us”.
