The second session of the week for the Malaguista squad. There was a video session for around an hour in the ‘Juan Cortés’ press room, and at 10:00 the players stepped on to the pitch at the Annexe.
Heat, humidity and even a light drizzle for several minutes marked today’s training, with the team prioritising technical work with the ball as usual. Under the coach’s orders were goalkeepers Dani Barrio, Dani Martín and reserve team keeper, Santos along with 23 players including latest signing Víctor Gómez. The former Espanyol player received a warm welcome from his new teammates.
Benítez was in training at full pace for the second consecutive day, whilst Chavarría was present with the team (partial training). Calero and Ramón trained at a good pace. Jairo, meanwhile carried out preventive work in the gym.
Kevin, Larrubia, Roberto, Haitam and Ismael Gutiérrez, plus the aforementioned Santos and Benítez were the reserve team players in action with the first team.
Hicham, Benkhemassa, Jozabed and Loren alternated between recovery treatment in the gym and specific training on the pitch alongside physical trainer, Toni Tapia.
Tomorrow, Wednesday at 09:00, Málaga CF will return to training at La Rosaleda’s facilities.
