The Blue and White defender held a press conference following Saturday’s victory against CD Lugo: “It’s not about looking at just one player. I’m happy with the assist. I’d also like to congratulate Genaro. The team competed very well from start to finish. We could have scored more than one goal. The focus is now on the next match,” he explained when asked about his great performance.

The international was very close to netting the 2-0: “Today the goalkeeper wasn’t going to let the ball go in. It’ll come, and when it does the most important things are the team, the victory and the fans. Now it’s about the next game,” he said.

“You leave with a great feeling. We got three draws with the possibilities of victory. We made the most of them by clinching a win tonight. Of course, I wish we could have achieved more wins,” he commented about the results of the last four games.

“When there are so many games midweek, it’s highly demanding. The team knew how to suffer, which is important, and we draw great conclusions from a match like we played tonight,” he answered in reference to the midweek fixture.
