Toulalan: “It’s very exciting playing derbies here”

MCF’s French central defender, Jeremy Toulalan spoke to the media today, Thursday, in the Ciudad de Málaga stadium press room.

Toulalan’s statements:

(Assessment). “For the moment, good; but we could’ve got three or four more points.  We play well but sometimes we don’t get the points. With Sevilla we played well and we won and this gives us confidence for the second half of the season.  We need to get a few more like the one against Sevilla; we’ve also played well in other matches and we must go on the attack to give the team a ‘boost’.”

(Support). “They support us all the time, I feel this support and that gives you strength to play better. Chanting my name? I’m happy with that, but you’ve got to remain focused.”

(First team). “The team should be in Europe at the end of the year and for the moment we’re just three points away from Champions League.  The worst moments were when we played well and we lost matches, such as the ones against Gijón and Real Sociedad.”

(Granada). “Like we had against Sevilla, we have a derby and if we can get a good result that will be perfect.  It’s very exciting playing derbies here.”

(Differences Liga / Ligue).  “The Spanish league is less physical and more tactical than the French.  The teams there are more ordered but the technical quality of La Liga is better.”

(Adapted).  “There’s lots of talk.  I’m feeling great here and I’m happy as the people support me.”
