Following yesterday’s rain-soaked session, the sun was back for the second training session of the week. Technical-tactical work with the ball took precedence today.
Thirteen professionals and 13 homegrown players were under Pellicer’s orders today. In regard to Tuesday’s session, Malagueños Alberto Escassi and Joaquín Muñoz returned to the group dynamic as the positive news of the day. Caye, meanwhile, remained in the gym (contusion to right quadriceps). Luis Muñoz and Mejías alternated between physiotherapy treatment and continuous running on the pitch.
In terms of absences, professional players Jozabed and Benkhemassa were not in training today. Chavarría and reserve team member Hicham (gym), as well as Calero, the latter training alongside physical trainer Manu Gestoso, continued with their respective recovery processes.
As usual, there was a vast representation from the MCF Academy; Gonzalo, Benítez, Ismael, Quintana, Cristo, Mini, Ramón, Eu and Julio from the resesrve team, plus ‘juveniles’ Andrés Caro, Roberto, Haitam and Larrubia. ‘Juvenil’ player Loren (discomfort to left adductor) underwent treatment in the gym, outside the group.
Tomorrow, Thursday at 10:30, Málaga CF will return to training at La Rosaleda Stadium’s facilities.
