The MCF Foundation presented the ‘Gigantes del baloncesto malagueño’ (Giants of Málaga Basketball) book at the Juan Cortés press room at La Rosaleda Stadium, during what was a wonderful day for the Club and the peñas.
At the start of the presentation, Jose María Muñoz welcomed everyone and said a few words. He reflected the Entity’s view regarding its relationship with the peñas and called for a future with enhanced communication, collaborations and events to strengthen the union of the club with its supporters. In addition, he stressed the importance of the support Málaga Club de Fútbol has always received from the Malaguista fans.
At the end of his speech, Jose María Muñoz addressed the questions and concerns that were raised by the guests and subsequently began the presentation of the solidarity book.
The MCF Foundation and Alfonso Queipo de Llano, the Málaga basketball figure and representative of the former players who took part in the writing of the book, told how this project, developed with the collaboration of Fundación Málaga, came about. A tribute to Málaga basketball and a team that made history, marking a before and after in the sport on the Costa del Sol.
At the end of the event, the new range of phone cases now available in the Club store was unveiled. Málaga CF, together with Phonecases, has designed nine mobile phone covers featuring Malaguista designs.
The Club is grateful for the support received from the peñas, and we hope the health situation will soon improve so we can all get back together again as soon as possible.
