The MCF Forever reach Final Phase of the Liga Solidaria

The team of Blue and White veterans defeated Marbesula in the final of the regional Andalusian competition, and will take part in the final phase in Valencia.

There was a true veteran football fiesta taking place in the Málaga municipality of Alameda, all in the name of charity. Dely Valdés, Koke Contreras, Iznata, Juan Rodríguez, Manolo Gaspar and Josemi, amongst other former Malaguista players, delighted the 1.500 fans at the "Antonio Soria Melero" and showed that, despite their age, they’ve still got a lot of football in their legs!

The Málaga CF Forever won the Liga Solidara FEAFV South Zone with a full house of victories in a charity competition that brought together 13 Andalusian veteran teams, amongst them Real Betis, Granada CF, Cádiz and Córdoba CF.

The Blue and Whites defeated Vázquez Cultural by 2-0 (Juan Rodríguez and Javi Ramos) in the first match and secured a 4-1 win against Balompédica Linense (Dely Valdés x2, Izanata and Javi Ramos) in the second. In the semi-final the team beat Estepona (Salva x2 and Juan Rodríguez) by 3-0, whilst in the grand final, defeated Marbesula (Dely Valdés x2 and José Juan Luque) by 3-2.

The Forever team has a direct pass to the final phase of the Liga Solidaria, taking place in Oliva (Valencia) at the end of May.
