League win for Juvenil DH and a pass to the Copa de Campeones
The Malaguistas defeated UD Almería (2-0) in the final match of the league competition, and will therefore fight, for the fifth consecutive year, to be the best youth team in Spain.
The MCF Academy continues to achieve great success. On this occasion, it was the turn of the Juvenil División de Honor who were proclaimed league champions for the second year in a row, after defeating UD Almería (2-0) at the Ciudad Deportiva de la Federación Malagueña. Mini and Chapela scored the Blue and White goals.
David Cabello’s team end the league competition with 72 points, ahead of Real Betis (70), San Félix (69) and Sevilla FC (68), with a balance of 86 goals scored and 27 conceded.
Copa de Campeones and Copa del Rey
The top spot of División de Honor Juvenil Group IV grants the Málaga team a direct pass to the Copa de Campeones, the most prestigious tournament of the category, in which the best youth teams in the country are measured. Málaga will take part in the Copa de Campeones for the fifth consecutive year, a title they already won two years ago.
In addition, the top three teams in Group IV, (Málaga CF, Real Betis and San Félix) will participate in the Copa del Rey juvenil.
