On this day 50 years ago, Miguel Ramos Vargas ‘Migueli’ debuted with CD Málaga in a match against UD Las Palmas, corresponding to matchday 1 of the 1967/68 season.
The match held at the rival stadium ended in a draw (1-1, Berruezo scored for Málaga), and was the First Division debut wearing the Blue and White jersey for the unforgettable Migueli. This was the first of 463 official matches he played – an absolute record for CD Málaga – for a footballer who years later became the first international CD Málaga player with Spain.
50 years and a day later, UD Las Palmas are visiting La Rosaleda stadium, commemorating a curious anniversary with Migueli as the undisputed star.
