Málaga CF held a minute’s silence before the XXXII Costa del Sol Cup kicked off, in memory of Bruna, a CD Málaga player in the 50 and 60s who has recently passed away.
During half-time of the Málaga-Sampdoria match, Blue and Whites’ president, Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani met Bruna’s family at La Rosaleda, and presented them with a Malaguista shirt with a number ‘7’ on the back.
Coincidentally, Bruna formed part of the CD Málaga line-up in their first Costa del Sol Cupin 1962, the Malaguista Club’s debut in a triangular competition that was won by AS Roma.
