Thank you, Torron

For more than two decades, Marcelino Torrontegui has been Málaga CF’s masseur and podiatrist. With great knowledge of national sport, his link with the club will be eternal.

Marcelino Torrontegui arrived at Málaga CF on 26th July 1999. Born in Candás, Asturias, he kicked off his football career following the Tour de France. He came to “help”, as he himself once said, the team headed up by Peiró. He arrived and he stayed.

He swapped the bike – cycling is one of his passions – for the ball, and in the Blue and White dressing room he’s experienced the best stage in the Club’s history.

Behind him, as well as two decades of Malaguismo, he’s been involved in six Olympic Games, forming part of the medical services of the Spanish Olympic Committee: Atlanta 96, Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012; Rio 2016 and if coronavirus hadn’t come about, he would have also been part of Tokyo 2020.

For your dedication, commitment and unconditional love for these colours, Málaga CF will always be your home, Marcelino.

Thank you, Malaguista legend!
