Tebas promotes III Master's program in Sports Entities
The President of LALIGA, Javier Tebas, gave a special lecture during the third edition of the Master's in Sports Entities Management and Marketing, organised by Málaga CF and the University of Málaga.
The auditorium at the Ciudad Deportiva Fundación MCF hosted an inaugural lecture yesterday for the current Master's course students, with Javier Tebas at the helm. He delivered an educational talk primarily focused on aspects related to LALIGA.
Tebas was joined by Málaga CF’s judicial administrator, José María Muñoz, the Master's program deputy director Ana Vera, Benjamín del Alcázar, Dean of the Faculty of Marketing and Management at the University of Málaga, and Rocío Ponce, Vice-Rector for Doctoral Studies and Postgraduate Programs at UMA.
The current students, along with a representation of alumni, including first-team goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero, attended a master class by Tebas that covered numerous topics related to Spain's top football competition.
Tebas explained how the organisation he presides over operates, encompassing 42 professional clubs. He discussed key areas such as competition regulation, financial control, and audiovisual rights management. Tebas highlighted 2013 as a turning point for significant advancements in television broadcasting rights and international strategy initiatives, such as LALIGA Impulso, as well as the recent integration of Artificial Intelligence.
“We are organisers of a highly competitive league, as is the Second Division,” Tebas said in his speech, highlighting the growth in stadium attendance in recent years within this category. The evolution of broadcasting rights and the fight against piracy were noted as some of the industry's key challenges.
Tebas' talk concluded with a Q&A session, where the students showed great interest in the various aspects that encompass an organisation as significant as LALIGA.
