Good afternoon everyone
Today is not a day to make excuses. Today, the entire team wants to reach out to all Malaguistas and tell them that we feel we have failed them.
Málaga CF is a feeling. I’ve known this well since I was a boy. All the players, who are here for any length of time, are left with this feeling that they never forget, even if they leave Málaga.
Words are not enough to thank the Malaguistas for the incredible way you have welcomed us at La Rosaleda. All the times you have encouraged us and spurred us on throughout the good and bad times, and filled the stadium in the heat, cold, rain and a lot of Fridays and Mondays in bad time slots for you.
To say ‘sorry’ today is not enough. Unfortunately, we cannot turn back the clock, but we assure you that we will not allow anyone to give up from here until the end, and we will continue fighting for this shield and jersey until the last day.
We would also like to mention all the employees at the Club. Thank you for how you always help us and are with us to make our work easier. We have also failed you and it hurts us a lot.
This city, the Club and the fans deserve to be in the First Division. They deserve it and we’ll be back very soon. Let there be no doubt that we will give everything we have to achieve that objective next season.
