Sport is Vithas II

The healthcare provider brings us a second piece of advice to improve our physical performance and look after our health. Today the focus is on warming up.

It’s one of the fundamental parts of physical activity. However, if we’re short on time we often skip the warm-up and can go straight to a match. This can lead to a very high risk of injury that we often disregard.

The body needs to warm up gradually. We need to wake up our joints and muscle groups before putting them to work. Otherwise, we could break them.

Warm-up is better than cure

A correct activation should last 15-20 minutes and, although it should encompass the whole body, we must emphasise the muscle group to which we are going to attribute the greatest effort. -CAUTION- Don’t think that warming-up should only be carried out if it’s cold, this step is essential regardless of the thermal context in which you find yourself.

The most popular methodologies at the moment are FIFA 11+ designed by FIFA and SKADEFRI, developed by the Norwegian Olympic Committee.
