The Málaga CF Foundation is now a collaborating member of the Málaga Platform Against the Stigma of Mental Health, promoted by AFENES (Association of Relatives and People with Mental Health Problems), whose main objective is the fight against the stigma of mental health issues.

President of AFENES Málaga, Carmen Sibaja, accompanied by psychologist, David García visited La Rosaleda Stadium to seal the agreement. On behalf of the MCF Foundation, coordinator Lucas Rodríguez was present, and member of the Social Department, Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’.

About AFENES

The main objective is to increase awareness and develop programs to help the recovery and social inclusion of people with mental health problems.

As a Social Entity, it should be noted that it was recognised in the IV edition of the ‘Siempre Fuerte Awards’ held at the Picasso Museum in Malaga in March 2021.

Málaga CF and AFENES have enjoyed a lengthy relationship for many years, which goes back to the traditional Olympiad that the Málaga social entity has developed since 2002 and which has always featured Malaguista representation and Blue and White icons such as Weligton, Valcarce, Isco, Duda and Basti, amongst many others.
