Málaga Femenino enjoyed a brilliant opening game in the Copa Andalucía. The Blue and Whites secured a massive win in their first match of the regional tournament, defeating CD Cultural Asako de Motril by 8-0. The first women’s national team dominated play without any problems from beginning to end. María Ruiz, the highest scorer of the team and the match, kicked off the goals in minute 4 inside the small area, leaving the keeper without options. Three minutes later, and after various attempts, Pamela made it 2-0 with a powerful ball from outside the area.
The Malaguistas launched their attack, leaving Asako without options, and in 33’ Noelia, from outside the area, increased her team’s lead (3-0). Despite the intense heat, the Malaguista squad continued their attack. Encarni, after developing an individual play, made it 4-0. With no time for a reaction, a minute later María Ruiz scored again to put the Blue and Whites 5-0 up at half-time.
In the second half, María Ruiz needed just three minutes to score again, thanks to a masterful pass from Natalia (6-0 Min 48). The Blue and Whites continued to control the ball in their area, and after propelling the ball to the post, Janira regained possession and scored the 7-0 with a shot originating near the small area. In the 70th minute, a corner in Málaga’s favour led to CD Cultural Asako, during a defensive error, scoring an own goal. At the final whistle, the result was 8-0.
