Women’s team focus on Copa Andalucía

Málaga Femenino will face CD Cultural Asako de Motril on Saturday 3rd June (16:00) in the first phase of the Andalusian tournament.

Following several weeks’ training, the moment has arrived. Málaga Femenino face the challenge of reaching the final of the tournament. To do this they will need to overcome CD Cultural Asako de Motril in the first Cup match, taking place in Peligros (Granada) at 16.00.

The reserve team is full of enthusiasm for this competition, that all the players consider great fun, and in which anything could happen, as teams from the top flight and lower divisions all compete.

The Malaguista squad has reached the final of the Copa Andalucía over two consecutive years, and the aim this year is to overcome the quarter-finals and semi-finals, to reach the last step of the Cup competition.

“It’s going to be tough as there are two teams from the top category, but we’ll try to give as much as we can”, says Málaga Femenino captain, Poti.

The Malaguistas view the match against Cultural Asako as a match where anything could happen, and with utmost respect for the rival, as they can make things very difficult, being just one sole knockout match.
