La Rosaleda, more intuitive

The Malaguista stadium is changing a number of the current configurations to access points and stands to facilitate the fans’ mobility.

The new organisational model of La Rosaleda seeks a simpler order, helping Malaguistas to locate their seat in a more natural and intuitive way. The door numbers, nomenclature of the stands, gangways, sectors and seat numbering adopt a new format for ease of access and mobility within the stadium.

Door numbers

The new configuration of the access points, which are simpler and more intuitive, will help fans to find the entrance to the stadium more naturally. The order of the doors will begin at 0. This door will be located on avenida Luis Buñuel, where Clínicas Rincón is situated, and will be flanked by Nº1 to the right, and Nº2 to the left. Following the sequence, the odd-numbered doors will run along the banks of the Guadalmedina river, whilst the even-numbered doors will be located on C/ Camino de la Palmilla. It should be noted that only the access doors will be numbered, therefore avoiding confusion.

Names of the stands

The four stands that shelter the pitch at La Roslaeda have changed in nomenclature. ‘Tribuna’ and ‘Preferencia’ will retain their current names, however ‘Fondo’ and ‘Gol’ will be called ‘Fondo Sur’ and ‘Fondo Norte’ respectively.

General configuration of the stands

Observing the map of La Rosaleda, we can see on the right-hand side the gangways, sectors and seats have even numbers, and on the left-hand side, they have odd numbers. Also, we can notice that the numbering starts in the ‘Tribuna’ section, where the dressing room tunnel is located. In addition, the stand is divided into two amphitheatres, named the ‘Grada Alta’ and ‘Grada Baja’, where the five ‘anillos’ or rings are found (three in the ‘Grada Baja’ and two in the ‘Grada Alta’.

Gangways

Following the principle explained in the previous point, gangways Nº1 and Nº2 can be found in ‘Tribuna Baja’. Within Nº2, even numbers will originate from the right (half of ‘Tribuna’, ‘Fondo Sur’ and half of ‘Preferencia’), and Nº1, odd numbers to the left (the other half of ‘Tribuna’, ‘Fondo Norte’ and the rest of ‘Preferencia’).

Sectors

The first figure of the sector tells us which ‘anillo’ or ring, we’re in (101, in the first ring, 201 in the second), much like the floors of a hotel. The first is Nº101, located in ‘Tribuna Baja’, after the local dugout, and to the right, is number 102. Following the correlative order, the even numbers (104, 106 etc…) will run over half of ‘Tribuna’, ‘Fondo Sur’ and half of ‘Preferencia’. For their part, the odd numbers (103, 105, etc…) will be located on the other half of ‘Tribuna’, ‘Fondo Norte’ and the other half of ‘Preferencia’.

Seat numbers

The identification of seats in ‘Grada Baja’ (the first three ‘anillos’) will also change, but those in ‘Grada Alta’ will maintain their current configuration for the time being. This new numbering system will allow us to undertake future modifications, without affecting the other sectors. Although the seat number will change, the location will be exactly the same.
