Sheikh Al Thani: “Camacho is today 100 per cent property of Málaga CF”
Club President, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Thani, accompanied by Board members, Nasser Al Thani and Nayef Al Thani gives “absolute priority” to the start of the Academy and announces the purchase of the “economic rights of the player”.

Team and sports management
- “Firstly, I would like to congratulate the members of our team; the players, coaches and staff, for a great season. A sports project that will be stronger and more solid next season”
- “With Arnau at the front, as sports director, we will try to make a big team for our fans to enjoy. We want next season to be special.”
Club
- “Regarding the Club, we are very involved in management, working for our Málaga Club de Fútbol to be stable, without debts, and able to face the future with optimism.”
The Academy
- “I would like to say, our priority is to start the construction as soon as possible. We are doing everything in our hands to convert the Academy into a reality.”
- “We must have a facility for our Academy teams, where they can train and continue their development. An Academy that will also be open to the entire city.”
- “All together: Town Hall, ‘Diputación’ (provincial government) and Junta de Andalucía are working in the same way within this project. In the next General Assembly that will take place in June, we will conclude the last issue.”
La Rosaleda
- “Regarding La Rosaleda, our stadium turns 75 years old. We want to celebrate the anniversary with all Malaguistas, and also make some improvements so that every game is a unique environment. We want all Malaguistas, and people who visit us, to enjoy a great stadium.”
Fans and employees
- “I would like to let the fans know that I’m proud of their loyalty to Málaga Club de Fútbol. During a very difficult year, they have shown us great support. We would like a strong, transparent Club, with more vitality.”
- “I want to say that I’m surrounded by hard-working employees, who want the best for this Club. To all the employees who are working towards a better Málaga CF, my sincere appreciation.”
Ignacio Camacho
- “I don’t want to conclude this press conference without giving you all some great news. Málaga Club de Fútbol has bought the economic rights for Camacho. Camacho is today 100 per cent property of Málaga Club de Fútbol, and we want him to remain an important player in the project of our Club.”
