Seventh season of Blue and White Values comes to an end

This season, the lessons offered by the Málaga CF Foundation, in collaboration with Fundación La Caixa, have travelled to all corners of the province, ‘visiting’ 18 schools and reaching 1,619 pupils.

Via the Málaga CF Foundation, with the essential support of Fundación La Caixa, the seventh season of Blue and White Values has now come to an end. There’s no stopping the transmission of these values. Despite not being able to visit the schools this 2020/21 season, the lessons reached 1,619 students via Zoom in 18 schools in all areas of the province:

  • CEIP Almijara (Sayalonga)
  • CEIP Los Almendros (Casares)
  • CEIP López Mayor (Villanueva del Trabuco)
  • CEPR Pablo Ruiz Picasso (Málaga)
  • Colegio El Pinar (Alhaurín de la Torre)
  • CEIP San Roque (Tolox)
  • CEIP Maicandil (Manilva)
  • CEIP Profesor Tierno Galván (Málaga)
  • CEIP Maestro José Durán (Almargen)
  • CEIP Reina Sofía (Antequera)
  • CEIP Virgen de la Aurora (Arriate)
  • CEIP San Isidro (Periana)
  • CEIP María de la O (Málaga)
  • CEIP Virgen de la Concepción (Montejaque)
  • CEIP El Hacho (Álora)
  • CEIP San Sebastián (Casabermeja)
  • CEIP Los Llanos (Ojén)
  • CEIP María Auxiliadora (Carratraca)

Out of these schools, 11 connected to the closing session, which was attended by: José María Muñoz, Málaga CF’s judicial administrator; Juan Ignacio Zafra, regional director of CaixaBank in Eastern Andalucía and Murcia; Yolanda Solero, head of Social Action at CaixaBank in Eastern Andalucía and Murcia; Juan Carlos Barroso, Málaga delegate of the Fundación La Caixa; and Lucas Rodríguez, Fundación Málaga CF coordinator.

Also present were coaches Sergio Pellicer from Málaga CF’s first team; Javi Ramos, from Málaga CF Femenino; and Fernando González from Málaga Genuine.

In addition, as has been the case during all the school ‘visits’ this 2020/21 season, a player from each of the three teams was in attendance. On this occasion it was captains Luis Muñoz, Ruth and Carlos Zaragoza.

With a good knowledge of Blue and White Values, the students face the final stretch of the school term. The MCF Foundation and Fundación La Caixa will continue to collaborate with this educational project in 2021/22.

Statements from the event:

José María Muñoz (Málaga CF’s judicial administrator)

“We’ve been doing this for seven seasons now. We visited 18 schools this time around during these very different times, reaching 1,619 pupils. Hopefully they all learned about Blue and White Values from us, and they continue to develop them throughout their lives”.

Juan Ignacio Zafra (Regional director of CaixaBank in Eastern Andalucía and Murcia)

“We share these values and have taken them to children in a number of schools via this digital format. I’m pleased we reached all areas of the province, this makes us bigger and ever closer to them”.

Lucas Rodríguez (Fundación Málaga CF coordinator)

“Sport makes us better people and teaching these values is one of the objectives of the MCF Foundation and Málaga CF”.

Sergio Pellicer (Málaga CF coach)

“One thing that cannot be taught is the talent of effort and hard work. Studying and paying attention to teachers will reap rewards. Being happy leads to personal success, it’s about working hard every day”.

Javi Ramos (Málaga CF Femenino coach)

“It’s important that they are good people, educated in values and that via sport we help them to achieve their goals”.

Fernando González (Málaga Genuine coach)

“The Blue and White Values are also the values of our team, the Supercapacitad@s School”.

Luis Muñoz (Málaga CF captain)

“We are the spokespeople for the team. When things aren’t going well you need to encourage your teammates to keep them working hard as the rewards will come. The captains are there to help the group at all times”.

Ruth (Málaga CF Femenino captain)

“If you have a dream, fight for it and be consistent. With effort and hard work anything can be achieved”.

Carlos Zaragoza (Málaga Genuine captain)

“Memory, Commitment and Faith”.
