Following the influential performances from Juanpi and Villanueva with Venezuela, Filipenko and Ontiveros closed and opened respectively the first and second batch of matches for the Blue and Whites’ internationals.

Last Friday, Egor Filipenko was in the starting line-up and played for 90 minutes in the international friendly in Yerevan between local side, Armenia and Belarus. The final result was 0-0.
Yesterday, Saturday, Javi Ontiveros played the entire game between Spain and Georgia in Cartaya (Huelva), corresponding to the 2nd match (Group 1) of the XXV Under-19s’ European Championships Elite Mini-Tournament. The end result was a 1-1 draw, with the Spain goal coming from Madrid-born Mayoral. Ontiveros put on a good performance, and came close to a goal, but the ball hit the post.
This Sunday,Christian Atsu’sGhanadrew against Mozambique in Maputo (0-0), however the Blue and Whites’ left-winger didn’t take part in the Group H qualifier for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
