MCF’s youth academy came back after the Easter break with four championships and a second place in the different competitions in which the Club had representation.
The Juvenil team won the prestigious MIC (Mediterranean International Cup), held over Easter in Lloret de Mar (Girona). This is the third consecutive win for the División de Honor side in this illustrious tournament, in which teams including Villarreal CF, Sevilla FC and Levante UD took part. Sergio Pellicer’s boys defeated RCD Espanyol by 2-1 in the final held at Municipal de Montilivi on Sunday.
For their part, the 3rd Alevín team were proclaimed Mundialito champions, in the Algarve-based tournament. The Malaguistas won one of the most prestigious 7-a-side competitions, defeating Valencia CF by 2-1 in the final held on Saturday.
The Infantil side won the X Marina D’OR International Tournament, which took place in Oropesa del Mar (Castellón), and the 2nd Andaluza Alevín boys won the SD Formentera Tournament, and were runners-up in the IV CD Vera Tournament.
